Ulster Scots - Scots Irish Heritage & Education Centre. In this 19th century former manse, in the heart of the Laggan district of County Donegal. In this 19th century building, we celebrate the history and the heritage of the people of Ulster in general and of Donegal in particular. This is a shared history and heritage which has become interwoven with that of every other community on the island of Ireland. In the Centre, we aim to bring to life some of the most engaging aspects of the Ulster- Scots and Scots-Irish traditions. There is a rich cultural history upon which to draw, from pre-Plantation Ulster to mass emigrations in the 18th and 19th centuries.
