With Lough Swilly and Lough Foyle lapping it sides, the dramatic unspoilt coastlines of Inishowen is a sailors’ haven. With endless welcoming nooks and crannies in which to drop anchor and well position marinas and piers dotted around the whole peninsula, you can take in the beauty of the peninsula from the sea or venture on land to explore its many attractions. There is also a number of sailing schools for the young, or just young at heart, to learn to sail.

Lough Swilly Marina is located at Fahan, on the western side of the Inishowen Peninsula. The Marina, which is under construction, can currently accommodate up to 200 boats of various sizes.An excellent sheltered harbour and marina, with a well-marked channel, which can cater for 400 yachts of varying sizes
