Getting Here
Inishowen is Ireland’s largest peninsula and is literally located at the “top of Ireland” in the northwest region. It borders Derry, Northern Ireland’s second largest city and Malin Head is the most northerly point on the peninsula and on the whole of Ireland. Distances from point to point within the peninsula are 884.33 sq km and that makes it perfect for exploring independently. It is surrounded to the north by the Atlantic Ocean and to the east by Lough Foyle and the west by Lough Swilly. The Inishowen 100 is a 100km scenic route and is signposted by official brown and white tourist signs to guide you round the stunning coastline.
Many of our visitors arrive by sea from ferries coming in via Larne or Belfast or via Northern Ireland’s main airports in Derry or Belfast. Others arrive by coach or car, via the Antrim Coast and Foyle Car Ferry from Magillian to Greencastle or by the main autoroutes via Sligo and Dublin. Once here, driving is the most popular way to see around: self drive or coach tour.
A warm welcome awaits you!
